I came to San Diego in 1998 from Colorado Springs CO. to begin service in the Marine Corp. After an Honorable discharge and maintenance career, I have been a Mortgage Loan Officer since 2016.

While taking care of my mother-in-law, I realized how much home health care cost and the demand it puts on families. This started my shift from focusing on veteran home loans to focusing on Home Equity Conversion (HECM) Loans. This led me to my Christmas Card story:

I was talking to an old coworker about all the features I was

learning about the HECM. After a few weeks, he told me he

wanted to apply. 2 months after closing the loan, he retired from

his job at 75 years old. That year he sent me a Christmas Card

thanking me for educating him and helping complete the loan. He only wished we had talked years sooner.

After that moment, I knew the direction I wanted to go. I joined

Retirement in Reverse to solely focus on Reverse Mortgage products as options for clients of Wealth Managers and Financial Advisors to unlock their home equity as a Tax-Free supplement for their retirement plans.

Sean has a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from National University and a Master of Business for Veterans from USC.
